GREAT CARE GREAT PLACE

Posted by responsiblepetowner on 4/16/2008

I took my beloved pet to the ER it stayed for a week and recovered for parvo. Yes i did have to pay a great deal but Being a responsible pet owner, I know that emergency rooms ARE going to be more expensive. I have many pets and it is great to know there is a place at night were i know my pets will be taken care of. I love my pets and treat them as if they were children. If you Choose to have a pet you choose to pay for their care. If you can not afford it, get a fish.

Okay service but VERY expensive

Unfortunately, many times my pets are injured or sick on the weekends or evenings when regular vets are closed. Since this place is open 24/7, I've had to take my pets there a couple times. One experience was good, one was bad. Both times I was charged an arm and a leg. The first time, my dog was in labor and unable to give birth. She had an emergency c-section, and 5 of the 6 puppies survived. Like most vets, they won't even see your beloved pet until you pay. The second time I went there, in October of 2007, I brought in the same cherished dog. I was pretty sure they couldn't save her, and the fact that they couldn't was not their fault, or the issue. The issue is that I paid $500 for nothing. I brought her in, they had me pay a $300 deposit, we were there for about 10 minutes before they told me she had went into cardiac arrest, 15 minutes later they told me she was dead and charged me another $200. They didn't even do anything. What did I pay $500 FOR? They gave me my beloved baby in a box after I emptied my bank account and I went home and buried her. I seriously believe I was overcharged, but I was too devestated to care about the money at the time. I don't believe they actually performed any services that should have costed $500. There wasn't even any time. If you can avoid an emergency clinic, try to, because they charge at LEAST 2-3 times the amount of a regular vet's office.
