If you are looking for a nice, relaxing B&B in San Antonio, this is it. The house is an historical gem but fully restored and very modern. Our room was very very nice but not stuffy. And the bed...wow, I want whatever mattress that is! Overall, very happy and will make a return trip! Highly recommended.

My husband and I needed to get away...we really needed to get away!! We looked and looked for a B&B that was not an explosion of flowers and lace...someplace that didn't make us feel like we were six year old girls or ninety year old women! LOL! We wanted something sophisticated, contemporary - yet timeless...we wanted rich colors and dreamy textures...The Ayres Inn Delivered It All!!! The area around the inn is quiet and beautiful. Our hosts Hector and Mike were the definition of hospitality - yet they knew just when to let us indulge in the hush of the Inn privately. Our room - oh man, our room!! We could barely leave our room it was so beautiful, comfortable and luxurious!! The sheets...the pillows...the robes...the shower...the whirlpool tub...(hold on - im drooling again!) Everything was perfect!! Though we enjoyed our first visit to the Riverwalk, the Alamo and Sea World (all of which was minutes away), our fondest memories are of the Ayres Inn, our wonderful hosts, and the little bit of heaven we experienced there. So, do we recommend it?? DEFINITELY!! Will we return?? I'm already making up fake holidays for a reason to go back!! Thank you Hector & Mike - you didn't provide accommodations, you provided a dream home for us. We'll see you soon!!! (And by the way - you have to try the Main Street Pizza Place that is just a couple of minutes from the Inn...its a great local place with pizza to die for!!) OK - I gotta go watch "Snapped" now (wink to Hector & Mike!!) Thanks!!!!

My husband and I took a quick trip down for a weekend getaway for my birthday to visit. The place was wonderful. It was clean, well kept, comfortable, and enjoyable. Michael and Hector were the perfect hosts. They'll both be seeing us again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Ayres Inn and absolutely loved it. The entire house is beautiful and newly restored which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was gorgeous and the bed was amazing...incredibly comfortable. We wanted to take it home with us. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would highly recommend the Inn... it's exceptional. Thanks Michael and Hector... you're great! You'll be seeing us again soon! Sincerely, Paige and Jerry

This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and we succeeded in finding one with the perfect mix of comfort, great service, and unpretentiousness. We were so happy to be able to celebrate our anniversary in such a relaxing atmosphere. No detail was overlooked by our hosts Hector and Michael. The food was delicious: home-made pastries, quiches, and round-the-clock gourmet coffee. The bedrooms were plush and inviting: exquisite linens on the bed, super-soft towels, and a whirlpool tub I didn't want to leave behind. The location, too, was perfect: historic homes in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to downtown. Michael was a gracious host. He printed directions to a restaurant we wanted to try, explained the layout of the common areas in the home (so we knew where everything was without having to search), and also chatted with us and other guests at breakfast so that everyone felt welcome and engaged. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay and my husband and I decided that our next stay at the Ayers Inn will have to be longer!
