Legislative changes and advances in technology have added challenges to our best practice management of solid organ transplant donors and recipients. Efforts to increase the donor pool, as well as strategies to maintain those on the wait list, are among key issues within this exciting field. As recipients demonstrate success in long lasting function of transplanted organs, they also face the long term consequences of immunosuppressive therapies. Thus we must address ways to maximize quality of life. How can we collectively examine strategies and pathways that provide successful clinical management of donors and recipients
