105 Military Plz San Antonio, TX 78205(210) 224-0601 |
The Spanish Governor’s Palace is the only early aristocratic Spanish house still standing in Texas. Built in 1722 as home for the commander of the Spanish army, the Palace lies near the Alamo, in downtown San Antonio. Despite this central location, few visit it, and its gothic arches and lovely garden are typically quiet and peaceful.
